IT Support Technician
Up to 25k
To provide all departments and associated companies within the group an efficient and flexible technical support service. Liaising with all staff levels to provide instruction, technical resolution and feedback where required, escalating departmental tasking where necessary.
Key responsibilities:
Advising group staff appropriately and communicating regularly regarding open tickets.
Diagnosing issues with I.T. and telephony equipment and performing first time fixes where possible.
Staff a centralized 'help desk' to implement solutions or escalate as required.
Proactively manage and monitor I.T. resources to maximize efficiency of company business, whilst maintaining an ethos of 'zero downtime'.
Implement planned maintenance that minimizes impact on core company business.
Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to ensure adequate provision and stock of consumable items.
Communicate with 3rd party support providers, making service requests where necessary.
Adherence to company regulations and ensuring safety in the work place at all times.
Security:
Ensuring integrity of security systems, access control and passwords for all users and sites where applicable. Rectifying and/or reporting any suspected or potential failures.
Maintain a level of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
Developments & Improvement:
Maintain an ethic of continual improvement, seek to find ways to maximize departmental and company efficiency and success. Reporting or suggesting identified areas that might be improved upon.
Maintain a log of work carried out, reporting any actions deemed necessary to complete tasking and noting any recommendations to minimize future problems or improve any involved processes.
General:
Maintenance must be completed in line with Health & Safety guidelines for all sites up to legislation standards.
Assist with any other duties as required ensuring a safe working environment is maintained.
Essential experience
Minimum 3 years experience in 1st/2nd line support role
Microsoft Operating Systems, Office Suite and Active Directory
