Are you natural and methodical problem solver with Team leading skills? We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to oversee a team of Cloud Support Engineers This is a hands on role that requires a good technical infrastructure background and knowledge of core cloud technology, virtual networks and storage.
You will join a talented support team consisting of several support engineers, and you will oversee their workload, providing leadership, mentoring, and driving continuous improvement within the organisation.
The role will see you work closely with various teams during the development and hand over of new technologies, ensuring it is completed in a controlled manner with all documentation correct and training, automation, and tooling in place. Your team will then be responsible for maintaining the new cloud-based infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Staff Appraisals, objective settings and 1:1’s
Ensure all staff are trained and up to date with all requirements
Drive continuous improvement
Own incident escalations and pass issues to relevant teams
Expectation to work towards certifications if not already held
Deployment, support and maintenance of cloud products sets
Maintenance of existing automation tools and automation of new opportunities
Requirements:
Understanding of Azure cloud technologies compute, virtual networks, storage and databases
Understanding of networking concepts and terminology
PowerShell scripting
Wintel/ Windows operating systems infrastructure
Strong security awareness
Top class customer service skills
Communication and documentation skills
Experience working to ITIL principals
Previous leadership skills (highly desirable)
