NEW ROLE - Data Engineer - £70,000 - Bristol (Hybrid)

One of the UKs leading financial institutions is currently looking to bolster their team through the acquisition of an experienced Data Engineer.

This role will be based in Bristol 2 days per week.

Think you've got what it takes? The role of a Data Engineer involves…

Designing re-usable solutions using existing new patterns or creating new patterns where required.

Building and testing data pipelines in-line with engineering best practices and data quality standards.

Deploying applications through RTL and into production using automation.

Collaborating with BAU support team to ensure applications get handed over into support in a timely manner.

Ensuring applications are supportable, robust, and performant.

Creating high-quality documentation to describe the work.

To be considered for this role you should possess…

Experience in working with Hive, Spark, and Scala.

Knowledge of DataProc, Big Query, Dataflow, Python, and similar.

A basic understanding of finance industry.
