Application Support Team Lead, SOCOTEC UK, Competitive Salary + benefits, Bretby

Based in Bretby, working across the specialisms in HR, Marketing, Finance and IT we pride ourselves of collaborating and supporting our operational divisions to deliver a world-class service to our customers.
Due to expansion we are looking to strengthen our IT support service within application support.
As the Application Support Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a small team providing telephone and remote support to a diverse group of business units, managing queries through to resolution. You will be focusing on 2nd line support but will also be required to handle 1st line application support activities.
Supporting multiple bespoke and supplied applications for desktop and mobile, the team will proactively deal with incidents and requests assigned by the Helpdesk, investigate the issues, bug fix, analysis databases, fix data issues, system administration and detailing reproduction steps for escalation.
The role is diverse and offers more alongside support with scope to expand into software development, mobile application development, configuring BI dashboards and more as we drive technology changes throughout the group.
The Team Lead will play a key role in evolving our support service, helping to establish practices, procedures and reporting metrics.

* Understanding of the IT environment, Active Directory, Servers and Networks.
* Experience working in 1st / 2nd line application support or experience from a development background in web application development or SQL databases.
Training and knowledge sharing will be provided across the application estate and experience in a mixture of the following technologies would be an advantage.
