Agile Delivery Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Agile Delivery Manager will be as follows: 

Introduce and encourage use of agile engineering best practice within the teams

Effectively manage a backlog of work through Lean / Scrum methodologies

Work with the product owner in the definition of requirements and capacity management

Remove roadblocks for the engineering team that are likely to impact the delivery

Present risks and opportunities to the wider team to improve the effectivity and efficiency of delivery

Manage project ceremonies (e.g. inception workshops, team stand-ups, retrospectives, project close-out)

Coordinate internal resources, third parties and clients for the flawless execution of projects

Time and budget management across a project portfolio (consultancy / client budget management advantageous)

Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs

Administer project controls throughout applying a principled approach to issues and risk management, providing a central point of escalation for stakeholders

Provide project / portfolio level reporting in a clear and concise manor  

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Demonstrable experience in supporting software engineering teams using lean / agile methodologies

UML Modelling and articulating system design through succinct and clear diagramming

Stakeholder (internal and external customer feedback)

Creation of structured requirements and supporting documentation (including FDD)

Understanding of ToC (theory of constraints) to identify challenges & opportunities

Ability to prioritise and balance strategic and tactical decisions against short and long term value

Creative problem-solving ability to ‘simplify the complex’ to ensure we work in an iterative approach

Experience in working in cloud-based SaaS technology solutions

Experience in Microsoft Technology stack

Experience of best practice processes within engineering and software delivery (e.g. CI/CD)

Experience of Jira and Confluence
