We're hiring for User Researchers to join our diverse User Research Team.

Crucial DWP services such as social welfare, universal credit, pensions and child maintenance are already available to UK Citizens, but just how accessible are they? Do they meet user needs?

Our expert teams in DWP Digital are undertaking a comprehensive digital transformation to ensure DWP services are easy to use and deliver the best possible outcomes for all UK citizens.

Our User Researchers work directly with the very people who require our support, advice, guidance and service to understand their needs.

Over 20 million people use DWP services every day, to access payments worth £195bn a year, find work, and to get support and advice. Your research will help us design and build digital products and services that work for them.

So, what can I expect to be involved in?

You'll work independently and as part of a highly collaborative, agile teams. You'll have licence to scope, plan, recruit and facilitate a wide variety of research projects from conception to delivery.

We'll empower your self-development and be the expert researcher in the room. Our User Researchers continually evolve our research methodologies and tools. We make sure we understand our user demographics and how our services are currently

We want you to have the autonomy to generate new and useful insights and recommendations. Our User Researchers directly influences future design decisions, and the overall accessibility and performance of our collective

You'll maintain varied multi-disciplined stakeholder network comprising of project teams and colleagues from our brilliant User Research community.

User Research is an established practice in DWP. Your skills and knowledge:

You understand basic user research methods, and how to use them in collaboration with your team.

You have experience in applying Agile principles in practice.

Good communication skills, able to bring visibility to problems and outcomes to a variety of audiences with ease.

Experience of using qualitative and quantitative data to turn user focus into outcomes and recommendations.

Able to identify and engage with users and stakeholders, collating user needs evidence, understanding and defining research which fits user needs.Details. Wages. Perks: a little more about our brilliant benefits and how to apply:

Pay for this role is £38,469 to £41,480 p.a.
