1st Line Helpdesk Engineer

Salary: £20,000 to £25,000

An established IT Service Provider in Essex are looking to recruit an experienced 1st Line Helpdesk Engineer to provide remote support to an external client base.
As an ideal candidate, you will have a recognised IT qualification, such as;
A Degree in Computer Science or
A level / AS level in Information Technology or
BTEC National Diploma / Higher National Diploma in Information Technology (or similar).
Industry certifications will also prove an advantage
CompTIA N+ or
Microsoft MCP / MCSE or
Cisco (CCNA).
Your role will be a 'typical 2nd Line helpdesk' position working at a reasonable pace and moderate level of technical difficulty. The ability to make sound decisions based on technical knowledge is also a requirement.
Necessity for proven experience in these areas can be further expanded on as follows:
Ability to resolve typical 1st line queries and escalations such as (but not limited to): Complex desktop / PC related issues Server or network troubleshooting Office 365 administration
Good knowledge of industry on premise infrastructure, desktop, server, datacentre, compute, storage, networking, connectivity, virtualisation, and security solutions.
Good knowledge of industry cloud technology, Office 365, Azure, Private Cloud
Ability to engage with more technical engineers convincingly.
The role will suit individuals currently working as 1st Line Helpdesk Engineer, 1st Line Service Desk Engineer, IT Support Engineer, PC Support, Desktop Support and be living within a commutable distance of Basildon, Chelmsford, Southend, East London or be willing to relocate.
