Product Designer- Healthcare Tech
Remote- monthly office visits to Oxford, and occasional travel to UK based customer sites
£50,000 - £70,0000
These lot are breaking boundaries in the world of patient monitoring! Their patented software helps people working in healthcare deliver more efficient, safer, and better quality care. I can't say too much here, but what we can say, is what they're doing is absolutely incredible- it's keeping both staff and patients safer, and genuinely improving lives.
They are now looking for a Product Designer to come in and work closely with their Product Manager and Engineering team, to help them continue to scale their products, and continue to help clinicians deliver care in as safe a way as possible. You'd create and manage the design of one of their products alongside their Product and Engineering teams.
They're a super collaborative bunch, and the CEO, COO, CTO and Head of Product and Customer Success functions regularly share their insights, so you'd need to be comfortable with stakeholder engagement and management!
A large bulk of this role will be engaging the users and doing lots of user research. They're on an evolution to improve their user experience and unify it. Alongside this, the usability of the products is super important, as it's being used by clinical staff in potentially high stress situations- so it needs to be simple and attractive!
This role will cover the full design spectrum, but its roughly 60% UX and 40% UI- it's weighted very slightly towards user experience.
Experience you'll ideally need:
Demonstrable experience in UX/UI or Software Product Management, with a portfolio to showcase your work. Talent is more important than years of experience!
Ability to build strong relationships with development and product teams, working in agile practices
A fantastic communicator, with an ability to solve complex design problems in a visually impactful way
You cope well with changing priorities and a fast paced environment They are based in Oxford. They meet up in the office 2 consecutive days per month (this is pretty important for them), but you can use the office more than that if you like!
Part of this role will be travelling to their UK based customer sites, to perform usability testing, ensuring the customers are happy, and the product is the best it can be. As such you'd need to be comfortable with occasional UK travel- it's likely to more than monthly, but not as often as weekly, but will fluctuate along with the demand!
