Senior FE Developer

Purpose of the role:
To work as part of a small team to enhance the developer effectiveness and experience on existing products. The product platform is provided as a service to major retailers and their largest client site revenue is in excess of $160M, with over 6M active users and 4bn images stored, taking over 500 orders per minute at annual peak.
Main Responsibilities:
Refactor, improve and update front end technologies of their major products such that feature developer effectiveness and experience improve
Working with highly skilled platform development team to understand areas of complexity, areas of high code churn and areas that slow down delivery
Contribute technical guidance to other Front End Developers
Support their drive for product and technological excellence by delivering excellent code and refining the agile delivery processes.
Improve test coverage with Jest tests.
Skills and Qualifications:
Up to date knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform Javascript, React, and SCSS (Essential)
Experience building quality and robust products for technologies across the stack
Proven experience in creating reliable, well-tested systems, with good UI design (preferred)
A passion for code quality and supporting processes
Familiarity with Agile development practices
A strong understanding of webpack.
