Job role: Senior Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer

The Cloud Platform and Infrastructure team are responsible for providing 3rd line IT systems, cloud and Infrastructure service delivery. The client are technology driven legal services company, and this role will enable them to exploit cloud technology to both differentiate itself and create a source of sustainable competitive advantage. In order to achieve this, we require high-cadence technology services such as rapid application deployment/removal, enable big data analytics and machine learning, provide a high degree of compute flexibility in a secure and economically viable manner. Senior Engineers will be key in driving forward the learning and development of their colleagues and the team overall.

You will also be the 3rd and final escalation point for issues relating to servers, network, internet, telephony, DR, backups, MS 365 and internal case management systems.

The Senior engineers within the team are responsible for the design and architecture of all future platforms

Responsibilities:

*Analysis of infrastructure, and capacity planning for future projects/growth.

*Facilitating meetings with various technical teams and third party vendors.

*Manage system/application installation, patching, rollouts, releases and upgrades.

*Delivery of key objectives, including migrating assets to the cloud and MMD

Delivery.

*Implement managed platform for Citrix estate

*Implement an enterprise SSO strategy

*Automate AD information updates from cascade.

*Multi factor authentication

*Active Directory harmonisation strategy

*Data backup, archive and data lake activities.

*Review 3rd party SLA's/agreements, holding regular reviews to ensure service

quality is maintained.

*Participate and assist in driving the knowledge management process.

*Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and potential impact on the support

business.

*Assist with the recruitment process for new regional team members.

*Maintain a high level of employee morale within the team.

Skills:

*A proven track record of design and documentation for systems deployment.

*Excellent knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange 2010, Active Directory, Azure, O36

*Current certification / working towards MCSE, MCSA, or CCNA, CCNP.

*Good knowledge of SANs and NAS and backup software or Cloud based backup systems.

*Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Solar

Winds.

*Virtualization technologies such as Citrix, VMware, Hyper-V, RDS, Terminal

Services.
