Let Informed Recruitment help you to achieve your potential with an exciting hybrid working opportunity for a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to deliver second and third-line support of incidents related to virtualisation, storage, and backup infrastructure within a data centre hosting environment.  As a specialist provider of resource to the Property & Associated Technology markets, we are delighted to be partnering with a respected & market leading social enterprise in the midst of a transformation programme.   

Day-to-day activities will include the support and maintenance of a continuously available IT infrastructure environment; deliver 2nd/3rd line incident support within the data centre hosting environment covering virtualisation, storage, and infrastructure backup that ensures a rapid return to services for users; build, configure, and run live data centre services and technology, whilst providing support to projects in test and disaster recovery systems; the delivery effective triage of problems, root case analysis, and issue resolution; change management processes to protect the live estate; develop and maintain standards and solutions for deploying new network solutions; monitor and optimise infrastructure solutions and architecture for maximum availability and uptime; and support reporting against KPI and SLA targets.   

Must Have

Previous commercial experience in a 2nd/3rd line Platform or Infrastructure Support capacity.

Good Incident, Problem, and Event Management

VMware virtualisation experience

NetApp SAN administration

Microsoft 365 administration experience to include Azure AD.

Experience in an ITIL environment/ITIL certification

Nice to Have 

VCTA – NetApp SAN certification or equivalent

NCTA – VMware certification or equivalent

Azure/Compute environment

General networking skills to include TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, switches, routers, etc

ITIL – Intermediate Certification in Operational Support & Analysis

Project Management/Coordination experience
