Tribal Group, the EdTech global leaders, are looking for a Business Analyst to join our software team, who are responsible for designing and developing ebs, our market-leading student management information system.
Based between working from your home and our Sheffield city-centre office, this Business Analyst job will provide a flexible-working environment approach within a friendly and supportive team.
You will undertake analysis of business requirements and use this information to scope projects and product deliverables. By collaborating with colleagues, the Business Analyst will need to understand current business processes and practices, identify business rules and provide estimates for the design phase.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for devising functional solutions which may take the form of new and/or enhanced functionality and/or adaptions of existing functionality.
Using your sound understanding of business requirements and architecture you will review and provide advice on software design and ensure delivery of a viable solution, whilst also ensuring that relevant documentation is created and maintained.
The Business Analyst will also take responsibility for internal knowledge transfer with regards to new and enhanced software and will review and advise on QA test plans and user help documentation.
Another area of responsibility is assisting with pre-sales activities including preparing information for tender responses and contributing to demonstrations of system functionality.
As well as experience in a similar role where you have used formal and structured business analysis methodologies, the software Analyst will have an analytical, flexible and pro-active approach and the ability to work in a process-oriented environment with defined milestones, reviews and sign-offs.
Your attention to detail will be excellent and you will have an inherent understanding of the need to be consistently accurate in all tasks that you undertake. you will be a confident communicator with the ability to clearly articulate business requirements and present technical information in a way that is easy to understand by a range of audiences.
The software Analyst will have good knowledge transfer skills and the ability to foster effective professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have a sound understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience in assisting and supporting customers with regards to system familiarisation and configuration.
