Promethean’s IT team provides solutions to our worldwide workforce that enable them to do the important work of transforming students and teachers lives. The Sr. Salesforce Developer is responsible for creating information technology software solutions that enable the core capabilities of Promethean's business.

The Senior Engineer is a member of an agile team that is focused on delivery of information technology solutions.

The Senior Engineer will participate in the full IT solution lifecycle, from development to production, and ensure quality solutions.

The Senior Engineer designs medium to large solutions and reviews the work of other engineers to provide feedback.

As a Sr. Salesforce Developer, you will:

* Be an active participant in the day-to-day activities of the team, including planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

* Review and evaluate business requirements and user stories. Participate in the work breakdown and estimation of tasks based on requirements.

* Provide alternative solutions to meet stakeholder needs.

* Create sophisticated, imaginative, and efficient solutions.

* Own small to mid-sized engineering projects.

* Develop high-quality solutions; contribute to development and configuration standards by setting new patterns and best practices.

* Write design documentation, as needed.

* Review the work of teammates to ensure quality and adherence to solution architecture and best practices.

* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

* Participate and understand the development build, deployment, and monitoring processes with an emphasis on security, performance, and scalability.

* Design reusable components by utilizing standard frameworks. Experiment with new technologies that can enhance our tech stack.

* Conduct regular, self-guided study to stay current on new and existing technologies.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

* 5+ years emphasizing Salesforce configuration, customization and support.

* Experience at scale with appropriate technology frameworks and infrastructure for the team, including:

* Salesforce Lightning development (Aura, LWC and other UI frameworks).
