We have an exciting new opportunity for an established and passionate Technical Lead Developer. Ada Meher are commencing on a search for one of their fastest-growing clients in Leeds. Our client is a full service creative digital agency, working at the cutting edge of technology and digital marketing.

We are now seeking a Tech Lead / Lead Developer to join them to work with the development team in their Leeds office to improve project planning and delivery, specifically with testing and TDD in mind.

In this position, you will be involved in software development of products and frameworks, providing expertise, assisting with tactical decisions and improving the capability of the overall team. As a tech lead, you will be the contact point for all team members, coaching, mentoring, assigning tasks and supporting their development.

If you are a senior developer of PHP and Laravel, in search of your first lead role, you could be the ideal candidate.

The company operate on a hybrid remote policy, asking employees to come into their central office space once a week with flexibility to work the rest of the time remotely. The culture of the business is very much one of autonomy, allowing staff to deliver work on a schedule which suits them – as long as the work gets done and to the right quality there is no issue.

Using a modern stack, including Laravel/Lumen APIs, microservices, SOLID principles, AWS deployments and aiming to drive towards full TDD, the company take an active interest in their employee’s development offering a budget set aside for pertinent courses and certifications.

To Be Considered:

Demonstrable technical history in PHP/Laravel

Experience mentoring more junior staff / code reviews

Commitment to high-quality and robust coding

Strong communication skills

Knowledge of microservice architecture
