Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Permanent – Hybrid working with 1 day per week onsite - Leicester

 A Senior Infrastructure Engineer is required to work for a global organisation to assist with the maintenance and ongoing security of the server / infrastructure estate. Working on predominantly windows infrastructure utilising SCCM, the successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will work on large scale enterprise estates to ensure the ongoing security of the infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for end user devices, Wintel Servers and VMware virtualised servers

You will work with both automated and manual patching schedules using SCCM and Endpoint Manager. There may also be some cloud-based patching undertaken within MS Azure environments

Deployment of patches using SCCM CB.

Provide operational support and troubleshooting of SCCM system infrastructure.

Application deployment via SCCM

Daily SCCM Infra health checks.

Preparing customized reports in SCCM console and SQL.

Key Skills

Experienced Senior Infrastructure engineer with a focus towards supporting security remediation within the Server Estate

Deployment of patches using SCCM CB. Deployment of patches using SCCM CB.

Experience working with Group Policy

PowerShell scripting skills

Windows Server Support / Wintel Support

Troubleshooting & remediation of failed patch installations and SCCM automation jobs

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team unsupervised whilst escalating issues appropriately

The role is largely based remotely but will require the successful Senior Infrastructure Engineer to work at their Leicester office one day per week.
