We are working with a rapidly expanding business based in Tewkesbury who are looking to grow their Manual Testing QA team with an additional Product Engineer. Working within a Microsoft environment this role requires testing across an SQL database and windows servers. Hands on device testing is an integral part of the role and no 2 days are the same! The role is predominantly manual software testing but may also encompass aspects of Test Automation and Hardware / Firmware test.

Key Responsibilities 

Ensure products meet design specification and perform as required

Create maintain and follow test cases based on product specification

Record 'Test Runs' to provide evidence of product maturity and test coverage

Create and maintain release notes / documentation relating to the products being tested

Identify new opportunities to improve test quality and coverage What experience do you need?

Recent software testing experience

Installation & configuration of Windows operating systems (Server & Client) and associated software

Configuring PC's to run on networked environments in both Workgroup and Domain

Understanding of SDLC and associates test methodologies

Ability to write clear, well structured reports and technical documents

Interpret and follow product specifications to ensure expectations are met Nice to haves

Using VMware in a test environment

Using automation to achieve a test

Experience of MS SQL Server

Knowledge of PC Hardware and peripherals, ability to connect and configure hardware devices What do you get in return?
