I’m currently working with an exciting Midlands based client of mine who need a IT Field Engineer to join the team on a contract basis.

Role:  IT Field Engineer x3 (Contract)

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £140 Per day (Inside ir35) + £.035 travel per mile travel from the engineers’ homes to sites

Start date: ASAP

About the Role:

Replacement of the estate current phones, to be replaced with 3800 new iPhone SE’s.

The client’s estate area covers most of the Midlands/Gloucester, and 1 site in Wales. We are expecting engineers to be on each site for approx. 1-2 weeks at a time Project schedule is currently being worked on.

Installation of screen protectors, cases and then deployment of phones to user will be required. 

Skills/experience required:

An ability to present to 40+ people at a time. With a great customer focus and an ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels.

Have great communication skills through a variety of channels such as email, phone and face to face.

Be extremely time sensitive

Have a good knowledge on how iPhones work

Be able to troubleshoot to fix issues

Be extremely flexible on working times, be happy with doing overtime if needed.

Be physically fit as some lifting will be needed to move stock around.

Keep working areas tidy.

Be able to work in teams.

Follow health and safety rules on site. This will also include Covid restrictions.
