A leading provider of IT services and solutions is currently looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join their expanding team at their prestigious offices in Bristol.
Role Summary: Deskside Engineer The enthusiastic and friendly Deskside team is looking for someone with a passion for IT and providing customer service to join them as a Deskside Engineer. We appreciate people who have a real determination for making our teams better and want to make a difference within Deskside. Role and Responsibilities Work through tickets in our ticket system to resolve colleague issues both remotely and with colleagues at local site. Deploy hardware to the local site e.g. screens/docks/keyboard/mice to desks Complete hand over of equipment to colleagues e.g. laptops/phones/tablets Complete morning checks Follow ITIL framework for logging service requests, incidents and problems. Maintain stock levels at the local site Asset management including disposal, scanning and update of inventory Provide coverage with other IT staff from 08:00 - 18:00 by working either a 08:00 - 16:00 or 10:00 to 18:00 shift Suggest ways to improve our service. Create public and internal KBA for our most common issues to help colleague's self-serve.
With highly developed interpersonal skills, you'll have the ability to engage with customers and ensure that you provide a consistently positive customer experience. In addition, you'll have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and will be an enthusiastic and supportive colleague in an often-pressurised environment.
