We're a huge organisation, and the scale and complexity of our digital services is massive, so this a brilliantly diverse QA role. Our test team engage with a large number of different stakeholders, product teams and technical colleagues.
As a QA Tester you will be test applications which support DWP services. You'll collaborate with delivery teams to determine the testability of functional and non-functional requirements.
Day to day you will:
Take responsibility for defining the overall test strategy and developing test plans.
Identify opportunities for test automation.
Help us implement a shift left approach to define processes that reduce or eliminate defects as early in the process as possible.
Ensure that the breadth and depth of testing is appropriate and proportionate, and takes a risk based
Help us work towards building a world-class performance-focused user experience control centre
Help us exploit and enhance hybrid cloud services, to offer true platform independence and optimum price performance.What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
Proven knowledge of being able to maintain full traceability of defects, tests and requirements.
Ability to identify and drive resolution of defects or issues preventing delivery of testing activities.
Knowledge of the latest Testing tools and where it would be beneficial to apply them.
Skilled in developing and maintaining reusable test collateral and services.
The ability to communicate with other teams and share knowledge and lessons learned.
