As an experienced VP you will be the part of the equities algo development team and work directly with product owners, SREs, quants and the support team to develop and maintain the market leader Cash Equities Benchmarks Algo platform in JPMorgan. The equities cash algo platform is a high performance, robust and resilient platform written in Java that deals with a great deal of technical challenges in terms of high volume of market data and high number client orders/flow.
We expect VP candidates to have deep knowledge of Core Java (collections framework, garbage collection, multithreading, TDD), while knowledge of eTrading in another asset class is desirable but optional. While the available position is in our EMEA algo development team, we expect a developer to interact and contribute with other regions as the algo trading is a global platform. Developers have full ownership of the codebase and you will be expected to help to clarify and work in both framework and algo strategy development requirements;

This role will give you the opportunity to:
Work with a highly technical team of e-trading developers, interacting with other algo, smart order router and low latency platforms and the SREs/devops across different regions;
Work closely with a highly technical and knowledgeable product team, quants and support on enhancing strategies and on supporting market and client specific requirements;
Work on a team that encourages full test driven development and has embraced the agile methodology;
Learn about the cash equities electronic trading business, market data and execution platform;
Provide second level product support to the algo platform (for EMEA and MENA markets)
