DWP. Digital with Purpose.
Here at the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) we pay nearly £1bn in payments every single day that help some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
We support over 20 million people and have a huge responsibility to ensure that everyone can depend on the state when they need it most.
We're using the latest technology, and hiring the best digital talent, to build, maintain and transform services covering everything from helping children & families, right through to supporting relatives of lost loved ones with bereavement support and funeral care.
In between we find jobs for people, we support people financially where they are unable to work due to health conditions and we ensure everybody has the money they need to live during their retirement years.
We are first and foremost a people focussed organisation - we want to attract the talent to come and help us create the best possible services for the people who need our support.
People. Work. Projects.
We are looking for an experienced and talented Product Manager to manage the ongoing development of a product within one of our many crucial services.
You will be responsible for strategic and tactical product decisions and will be an expert at grounding those decisions in user needs and business goals. You'll frame problems and set priorities for the delivery team.
You will also be actively involved in developing the product strategy, managing the product roadmap and communicating product success to interested and impacted stakeholders.
We need someone who can create and own the vision for the product, and also represent it and represent users at the appropriate review and governance forums.
You'll have the skills to ensure that the team is working towards the appropriate service standards as defined by Central Data and Digital Office (CDDO) and the internal assurance team.
A confident speaker in front of groups large and small, we need you to be an active member of our amazing Product Management Community, attending community sessions and supporting any associated community-based activity.
Details. Wages. Perks.
You'll join us at our digital hub in Newcastle.
We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work flexibly.
We are a hybrid working organisation, so you can expect to spend some time in the office and at home.
