Site Reliability Engineer - Hybrid role - Leeds City Centre office - circa £55-70k
This is an exciting opportunity to be able to work as part of the success story of a European bank, now setting up in Leeds, where you will have the opportunity to make a real impact.
This is a greenfield project with no risk! They're already well-established in Europe. They are now building a brand new UK team from scratch. So it's all greenfield development!
The role is a Hybrid role, with 2 days in the Leeds City Centre office, which is a fantastic modern workspace and within a 5-minute walk of Leeds Train Station.
Brio Digital are working in partnership with our client, seeking an experienced Site Reliabiity Engineer to join the Infrastructure & Platform services team in Leeds.
Required Skills - Site Reliability Engineer
Experience working within an AWS environment
Experience of working with Containerization (Kubernetes/docker)
Python/ Shell experience
IaC - Terraform experience
Experience in CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (GitHub)
Knowledge of platform upgrades (develop, test and release)
Experience in operations management, e.g. Incident / Request / Access Management and Security patching
Experience using monitoring and alerting tools
Experience using logging tools such as CloudWatch / Splunk
Understanding of Cloud Operations from a customer and commercial perspective
Ability to build relationships and influence at different levels of the organisation
Can lead the team by example in relation to building and maintaining production services
Key Responsibilities - Site Reliability Engineer
Own initiatives aimed at improving processes and systems related to OS and cloud instance validation, performance optimization, core network/VPC design etc
Design, scale, and secure infrastructure to stay ahead of business needs through fault-tolerant architecture design, performance testing, profiling and tuning, and capacity planning
Ensure our Products remain available, secure and performant.
Work closely with our Product and Engineering teams, influencing their approach and design
Drive innovation and automation
Ensure that all components are highly scalable and maintainable
Own features, components and tooling being built
Partner with other engineers to troubleshoot problems with our technology, and provide an excellent customer experience
