Senior IT Systems Engineer
Up to £42,(Apply online only) + 27 days holiday + healthcare + pension
Would you like to be a pivotal part of one of the most prestigious academic institutions in Cambridge?
You will be working in a lovely team of three. With the office being in central Cambridge, there are excellent bus and train links – so having your own transport isn’t essential. And as an added bonus, lunch is included every day (alongside the other generous range of benefits on offer).
You won’t get much more satisfaction than supporting the next generation of world changers and leaders. And the opportunity doesn’t stop there…
Working in one of the oldest colleges close to the university in Cambridge offers you the chance to progress your IT career across a vast array of different pathways – whether in software development, management and much more.
If this has piqued your interest, you’ll probably want to know what’s involved.
If you’ve worked as an IT network and/or systems administrator/engineer previously, you’ll probably know what to expect. You’ll own the site IT infrastructure. You’ll be setting up and managing servers. You’ll be getting close to the cyber security side of things. And you’ll be supporting alumni and colleagues in one of the most distinguished educational organisations in the UK.
You’ll just need a couple of years’ experience working in an IT systems support capacity, across the Windows tech stack. That’s all. And you’ll need to be happy in a position with lots of variety (sometimes challenging), exciting projects on the horizon and in helping others who are not technically minded, with technical problems.
One last thing – your personality is more important than your exam results. If you have hands-on experience, and get a lot of pride in helping others, this is all that matters.
