We are currently working with a leading financial institution who are now looking for a Scrum Master who will be responsible for maximising the ongoing performance of one or more cross-functional software engineering teams. The Scrum Master will thoroughly understand software engineering principles and methodologies, and how to utilise them effectively within a fast-paced and highly regulated business environment. The Scrum Master will work closely with the wider business, especially the change and infrastructure functions, and will be results-driven and able to help get the best out of teams.
Work closely with the Commercial Invoice Business Change function to ensure a seamless delivery of the technical components of business change
Ensures that the plan changes with demand/supply
Work with the Project Management Office (PMO) and other resource and partner managers to ensure that the suitably qualified resources are available to deliver the programmes
Direct the day-to-day activities of the allocated development and test teams
Work with the relevant individuals and teams to ensure software releases are planned, organised and adhere to the business CAB process
Drive investigations into any incidents stemming from releases, pulls together the relevant parties, and instils a culture of learning and refinement
Continually drive release-process improvements
Coach, mentor, and help develop staff, including overseeing new employee on-boarding and supporting career development planning and opportunities
Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required
Ensure adherence to Commercial software development processes, and the technical standards and processes used to govern software deliverySkills & Experience
Deep understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and different delivery frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
Proven, strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in meetings, email and informal discussions
Excellent organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple demands without missing deadlines
Proven experience in leading high-performing software development teams
Experience with traditional project management practices such as estimation, budgeting, resource allocation, scope management, change management, risk management, escalation, etc.
