Exalto are recruiting for a Lead AWS DevOps/Platform Engineer to join our client's cloud services team. The role will suit an experienced DevOps professional with strong knowledge of the AWS platform who enjoys having responsibility and the ability to influence DevOps tooling and processes.
Over the last few years, the team have built new and exciting services for major industry customers and partners in their sector.
There is plenty of greenfield development planned, and they're searching for a talented and experienced AWS DevOps/Platform Engineer who will embrace the unique opportunity to make a positive impact on their client's consumers and the environment.
Their developments are built on top of modern cloud infrastructure with Back End code primarily written in NodeJS. Other specific technology the cloud services team currently use includes:
Containerisation (eg Docker).
CI/CD (Bitbucket Pipelines or other tools).
API gateways, load balancers, traffic managers, content delivery (eg AWS API, Gateway and CloudFront).
The Way They Work
The cloud team embrace modern agile and DevOps practices and tools. There are already extensive automated testing and deployment frameworks in place, and they are always looking for ways to be more efficient.
They are a single product' team comprising many different specialisms including development, test and architecture. The team spends the majority of its time developing new features and supporting what they deliver to its customers. They have a strong practical ethos of continuous improvement, constantly implementing changes and improvements from lessons learnt. There is an ingrained culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing in the team and help is always close to hand.
You will work on;
Internet of Things (IoT) and big data' projects working directly with leading brands as well as other exciting projects!
Developing and supporting ground-breaking services and features that help them meet their decarbonisation goals.
Optimising services for performance and cost.
You will mainly be WFH, with 2-3 site visits a month to Harrogate so ideally will live within commutable distance to the office, however, the company will move to 100% remote Q1 next year so anyone further afield can come into the office 1-2 days a month until then
