We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our global team to be involved in designing and scoping features, whilst identifying business risk. You will review and contribute to stories and BDD scenarios, exploring the features and products during the development cycle, raising defects where appropriate and providing concise, accurate reporting.
Supporting regular releases with targeted smoke testing of key features, you will demonstrate new features to internal personnel and contribute to test automation, especially in scoping what to automate. You will challenge assumptions and continuously improve our processes and quality practices
Focused on self-learning, dedicated to sharing knowledge and helping other team members grow as individuals, and within the team, you will have solid experience in web and API testing tools such as PostMan, Insomnia.
You will also have previous experience of exploratory testing, understanding of how it adds value and how to report findings clearly, along with an understanding of techniques such as BDD, TDD, Three Amigos, Example Mapping, Event Mapping.
An understanding of UX, UI, accessibility, performance and security testing is also required and proficiency in selecting and using appropriate tools to aid testing, for example browser debugging tools, browser add-ons, Fiddler, Burp Suite, along with experience of test management, planning and estimation.
Experience of testing in complex financial systems would be advantageous, also expertise in the use and basic scripting in Windows and Linux.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a pragmatic attitude and curiosity in everything that you do along with a preference for bug prevention over bug detection.
