Job Title: Junior PHP Developer

Location: Birmingham, England

Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 (Depending on experience)

Profile

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and innovative individual who enjoys a challenge and who is wanting to learn and improve their knowledge.

You will be working with a team of developers, helping to deliver projects by writing new features, ensuring quality by writing tests for the application, updating existing code; improving quality.

As a junior developer, you'd be learning and training to become a fully stacked PHP developer, working within a team to develop applications.

You will:

Help deliver projects by writing new features

Ensuring quality by writing tests for the application

Define technical delivery of features you work on

Update existing code - Improving quality

Identify performance improvements

Integrate third party services

Provide modular application code

Keep technical documentation up to date and to a high standardJob requirements:

Have some experience of Laravel framework (or similar)

Knowledge of PHP

Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript

Minimal knowledge of relational database

Good problem solver with a passion for using the latest technologies

Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines

Passionate about working in a start-up environmentNice to haves:

Understanding of TDD methodology
