We're looking for an Applications Domain Architect to lead, manage and deliver Application architecture that works for our users.

We're looking for a highly motivated, driven and passionate Applications Domain Architect to lead, manage and deliver application architecture activities across DWP's complex and unique portfolio of products and services.

You would become part of a small core team of Domain Architects helping to describe, and ensure conformance of, DWP Digital solutions (products and services) to agreed architecture policies, principles, and patterns.

You'll work on services that millions of people use every day, to access payments, support and advice.

Delivery. Work. Projects.

You will develop strategies, blueprints, reference architectures and design patterns for DWP applications. You will use your knowledge to drive IT strategy, including definition of the tools and techniques most appropriate for environments.

Day to day you'll be delivering and promoting architecture patterns, governing solution designs, approving architecture decisions and supporting the delivery of an application technology roadmap.

We need you to work closely with our project teams to ensure their design artefacts are at the appropriate standard for the Design Authority and ensure Application Design patterns are high quality correctly referenced.

You'll join us at your choice of a base at one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield

You'll join us on a salary of between £66,860 - £89,392

You'll start on 26 days holiday, rising to 31, in addition to 9 bank holidays.

We are a hybrid working organisation, so you can expect to be in the office some of the time and working from home for the rest.

Additionally, you can take up to 3 extra days per month using flexi time.
