Salary circa £100,000 plus bonus and benefitsDevelopment Team Lead required to join an innovative digital online and entertainment services technology company. The successful candidate will be responsible for being technically hands on and leading a team working on new features and functionality on internal and external web applications, web services and other apps on my clients entertainment platform. This is ideally suited to a highly motivated and experienced team lead looking to play a key role in development of applications used by thousands of users.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a highly functional team of developers working on internal and external web applications and websites

Make sure the team proposes appropriate technical designs

Leading the team to produce well structured, testable code

Manage risks and expectations to the delivery by communicating them to stakeholders

Leverage security and best practices when writing code

Liaise with both internal and external parties

Help write specifications of new development requirements and provide estimations

Delivering and supporting the implementation of projects

Providing mentorship and knowledge sharing

Scoping, designing and configuring bespoke solutions to specific problems

Key Skills

10 years of software engineering experience ideally in PHP

3+ years in senior engineering or architect level

2+ years in a leadership role

Commercial use of modern PHP development framework such as Laravel / Symfony desired

Writing automated unit / integration tests for solutions

Ability to build / maintain CI / CD pipelines

Excellent experience of SOLID principles

This position is offered as a hybrid position so the successful candidate will be required to be able to attend the office in Watford three days a week. Work from home Wednesday and Friday. Applicants must also be UK based resident.
