Job Title: 1st /2nd Line IT Support Technician.
Location: Rotherham, Wath Upon Dearne and Worksop.
Salary: £25,576 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Length of the contract: Permanent
Grafton Recruitment are now seeking to appoint an 1st/2nd Line IT Support Technician. The 1st/2nd Line IT Support Technician is a key part of the IT Services team for ensuring a high level of customer service in providing technical diagnosis and resolution to both staff and learners. With a varied range of hardware and software to meet the needs of all clients (learners and staff) this is therefore a great opportunity to gain experience and skills across a wide range of industry recognised IT resources.
Duties of the 1st/2nd Line IT Support Technician
You will be an effective problem solver, able to diagnose a range of IT related issues first time, ensuring the end-user has the best possible experience.
You will need to be an excellent communicator, organiser and have good customer service skills.
You will have experience of supporting and configuring Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems in a networked environment, Microsoft Office products at various releases.
You may also have experience with Office 365, Outlook, Google Workspace (formally G Suite) and Apple operating systems too.
Experience Required
Experience supporting and configuring Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
Experience Supporting and configuring Apple IOS operating systems is desirable.
Supporting and configuring Microsoft Office products at various releases.
Experience using and maintaining development tools such as; Microsoft System Centre Manager, Microsoft Active Directory Services etc.
Experience repairing and maintening desktop PC's, laptops, Apple Macs and various mobile devices such as tablets.
Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy or willingness to undertake.
MCSA/MCSE qualification or be willing to work towards is desirable.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility and team working.
Able to work in an organised and methodical manner.
Professional credibility and customer service skills.
IT related problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills.
Pleasant and helpful approach at all times.
Work in a professional and confidential manner with a high degree of integrity and flexibility.
