A global multi-national market leader in providing financial, insurance and professional services are seeking a Technical Lead to guide Java development teams within their software product development division. This team of engineers are working on innovative software products and platforms that'll be put out to the market. This company offer one of the most competitive packages and benefits in Ireland. This is a very competitive opening that'll receive a lot of applications, so they're looking for excellent Java leads with strong commercial experience.

What will your role as a Technical Lead involve?

Guide and lead various teams on product development, driving innovation and best practice

Provide architectural opinion and guidance

Write high quality clean code on a daily basis

Mentor/Coach both individual engineers and development teams as a whole, setting technical direction and being a subject matter expert

Core technologies will include Java, Spring, MongoDB, Oracle, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Linux etc

What will you need to be a Technical Lead here?

Computer Science / Software Development Degree

10+ years' experience in Java Development

Excellent communicator and strong leader

Experience of leading, managing, guiding development teams

Strong architecture experience

Deep technical knowledge across a range of languages/frameworks would be a major plus

Excellent knowledge and experience in Java product development
