Our public sector client is looking for a Lead Developer with in-depth working knowledge and experience of Java and Python to join their busy, multi-disciplinary team and to lead, mentor and coach the developers.

You must be:

A strong leader with the ability to lead, mentor and coach a team of developers, including supporting and mentoring junior developers

Able to guide the way of working within the team

Proficient in a wide range of technical systems

Able to identify appropriate technology and approaches to decide when software should be written

Passionate about promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and the adaption of good practiceRequired Skills:

Subject matter expert in Java or Python - working experience with both

Experience of checking code quality - Test Driven Development (unit tests), peer reviews and code analysis

Experience in developing for the cloud, preferably Microsoft Azure and AppServices

Has an appreciation for information security, designing solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered as mitigation against security threats as a core part of the solutions and services

Expert level understanding and application of the most appropriate modern standards and practices.
