Systems Engineer - Sheffield - £30-35K

An educational firm in Sheffield is looking for a Systems Engineer to join their amazing team in a third line capacity! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for an all-encompassing role working with a variety of technologies and tasks!

This is a varied and interesting role where you will have the opportunity to get involved with project work, networking, 2nd line application support, liaising with vendors, automating systems wherever possible and documenting standard procedures and protocols, so there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and widen your competence base.

They also have a professional development plan in place for this role so any certifications or qualifications you want to do, these guys will support you and help you get towards them!

Skills and Experience required:

Public cloud experience - Azure and Office 365 expertise.

VMware and Hyper-V knowledge.

Configuring and troubleshooting Windows and Linux environments.

Configuring and troubleshooting firewalls and WIFI.

Networking experience (CISCO CCNA); routers, switching, BGP, VPN, MPLS.

Strong working knowledge of data backups.

Good understanding of the Microsoft Office 365 estate, Sophos central, Intune, and Mimecast.
