Software Test & Hard Test Engineer needed for a very exciting client based in Camberley. You will be responsible for carrying out testing on minor, major and emergency software releases, maintenance of testing evidence, developing test scripts and managing test databases.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

* Development & maintenance of test cases

* Perform manual regression testing

* Generating & presenting test results

* Working with developers and project support teams

* Maintaining hardware test setups

Test Management:

* Logging tickets on Testing Management Systems

* Evaluation of testing tools

* Identifying issues, risks and dependencies escalating and managing where appropriate

* To provide product handovers to both technical and non-technical audiences

Essential:

* 2+ years’ experience as a Hardware or Software Test Engineer

* Ability to prioritise, manage and perform under pressure and volatile environments

* Ability and drive to work independently and as part of a team

* Ability to work to tight timescales and manage multiple tasks

* Ability to oversee the whole picture (End to End) Testing of Backoffice and system software

* Technical expertise in linux based embedded systems

Desired:

* Bachelor or Masters degree with an informatics, electrical engineering, physics or optics background

* Expertise in testing technical equipment especially cameras or embedded systems

* Previous experience of Atlassian tool sets including Jira, Confluence

* Previous experience of testing software utilising web interfaces & SQL databases

* Linux expertise

* ISEB/ISTQB qualified

* Amazon Web Services

* Test automation expertise
