A large national provider of educational support services is looking for an AWS Solutions Architect to join the Cheltenham office on a hybrid basis.

The SA will translate business requirements into effective IT solutions that align with the existing architecture and strategy of the company.

Responsibilities

Effectively translate business and technical requirements into feasible solutions ready for development teams with considerations for data, applications, infrastructure, integration, interfaces, security, and scalability.

Support the development and direction of the IT strategy with particular focus on architecture roadmaps.

Perform risk and cost estimates for all solutions identifying areas where risk and cost can be reduced/removed.

Leverage appropriate methodologies, techniques and strategies to advise delivery approaches

Responsible for the production of system design with particular focus on design patterns.

Set acceptance criteria, and evaluate products and solutions against criteria.

Skills, qualifications, and experience:

Deep understanding of software design patterns and experience of their implementation.

Knowledge of agile ways of working, (specifically SAFe) as well as other relevant methodologies.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. With the ability and confidence to engage up to Director level

Experience with object orientated design languages (Java, C#, etc.)

AWS components and integrations.
