A national, household name in the education services are currently looking for a Technical Architect to join their team in Cheltenham on a hybrid basis.

The Technical Architect will work closely with development teams to support implementation of Solution Architecture designs on a day-to-day basis. The Technical Architect will act as the main contact between architecture and development teams ensuring collaborative and efficient architect solutions are developed and implemented.

Responsibilities:

Expert knowledge and leadership AWS technologies for engineering teams

Produce and document technical software and interface specifications from solution architecture designs

Ensure that engineering teams work with companies architecture principles and standards

Responsible for ensuring storage and integrity of components according to data architecture

Design, develop and evaluate solutions to support architecture design.

Input on continuous improvement of architecture designs.

Support engineering teams to understand and validate technical requirements, input into user stories, and validate testing approaches and outcomes.

Skills, qualifications, and experience:

Strong demonstrable experience AWS architectural design and continuous development.

Experienced in secure cloud-based Software development with an API focus

Demonstrate effective SDLC skills and relevant methodologies

Confident building effective relationships with key stakeholders and business partners quickly, and communicating with non- technical and technical audiences

Experience of working as a key member in a large agile development department with multiple technologies.

Able to adapt various ways of working and adapt approaches according to the need of stakeholders and projectsKnowledge and understanding of the following is desirable:

Strong MS technologies (Azure, O365, Windows Server, ETC.), .Net architectures. (C#, .Net Core/.Net 6.0+) and Java technologies (Java, JSP, Servlets)

AWS products and services including integrating AWS integrations.

Databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL)

Any experience with Salesforce is highly desirable.Ambitious Senior Developers with strong technical skills and some experince of low-level design will be considered on a discretionary basis
