We are now looking for an IT Support Engineer to join a market leading developer of Electronic and IT Solutions as their 2nd Line Support Engineer.

Based onsite in Newton Abbot, you will report directly to the Test Manager, and work with Engineering to produce Product Test Specifications, Test Plans and Reports.

Working in the Lab, you will provide support to all aspects of Product Test, including Test Case Database; Defining Test Suites and Regression Test Suites; and Designing / implementing System Test Automation.

Working with Product Support you will provide 3rd Line Support activities. Plus you will be testing products post production, and fault finding / testing products which have been returned by customers.

This vacancy would suit a current IT support (2nd line) who has an inquisitive mind and enjoys working in the lab. Alternatively, this is an ideal role for an IT Product Test Engineer who is looking for a new challenge.

Experience:

To succeed in this role you should have previous experience working in a similar IT Support role, providing 2nd Line Support as well as product testing.

In general a broad IT Skills base with Scripting Skills, Firmware Knowledge and Software Programming is preferred.

You should have a proven track record in Network Engineering, IT and Test Documentation is essential for this role.

Qualifications:

Ideally you will hold a good Degree/ HND / NVQ Level 4 in Computer Science, or equivalent experience in open systems hardware and software.
