As a Test Engineer you'll help build and assure applications used by 100,000 DWP staff and millions of claimants, users and customers.

You will be part of a multi-functional agile delivery team - we have a huge variety of projects so opportunity so opportunity to build real variety of experience and take on different challenges.

You'll design and build automated test solutions that enable the department to consistently deliver quality services that work for our agents and claimants.

You'll work alongside other Test Engineering, as well as both Software and DevOps engineers, to test everything from functional requirements, to security and performance.

You'll be part of a thriving Engineering community with lots of opportunities to grow your skills and your career, with formal qualifications/certifications, coaching, mentoring, meet-ups and lots more.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

Experience conducting functional and non-functional testing in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.

Experience in the development of automated test suites for UI and API with associated tools.

Knowledge in working within the Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery environment using associated methodologies and tools.

Experience of working with Agile, iterative methodologies.

Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders and sharing knowledge across practices
