My client, a fantastic, diverse, organisation with an ambitious strategy is looking for an experienced Data Architect to join their team.

The Data Architect will be a key member of the IT Services Team responsible for developing creative, robust, scalable and reusable strategies and solutions to meet client requirements and deliver business benefits to the organisation.

The Data Architect will partner with business and technology development teams, understanding organisational and departmental strategy and assisting in the translation of requirements into a solution vision, high-level business and/or IT system specifications. The role will then lead in designing, specifying, and defining data architectures that address requirements of availability, integrity, security, integration, quality and performance.

You will need to have;

* Previous experience in a Data Architecture role

* Certification of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as Data Modelling Certification, TOGAF or the equivalent.

* Considerable experience in data modelling concepts and principles including data profiling, source system analysis, master data management, data definition and dictionary creation, meta-data management, and relational database design and structures.

* Experience of development of high- and low-level solution designs, principles, standards and models.

* Experience of data migration and integration planning.

* Experience of working with 3rd party suppliers and integrators.

* Demonstrable analysis of technical issues, translating this analysis into technical designs that describe a solution, including the use of modelling and mark-up languages such as DMN, TOGAF, Archimate or UML.

* Demonstrable understanding of IT systems, architecture practice and approach.

* Knowledge of cyber security principles and best practice.

* Familiar with the UK Data Protection legislation.

* Knowledge of structured and unstructured data architectures.
