IT Helpdesk Engineer - £30,000 - £32,000 - Hemel Hempstead

Monday - Friday, 9am-5:30pm - Permanent

Henderson Brown is recruiting an IT Helpdesk Engineer on behalf of a reputable IT and communications company based in Hemel Hempstead.

The key objective is to hold a strong Microsoft Active Directory and Network Firewalls background as well as have previously operated as an IT Support Engineer or equivalent.

Main Responsibilities

*Provide the 1st and 2nd line of support with any IT queries and deal with various troubleshooting issues.

*Contribute to on-site support to resolve any IT issues.

*Installing, managing, and maintaining PCs and applications.

*Training and support for end-user hardware and software.

*Managing, maintaining, and supporting IT systems and infrastructure across multiple sites; It encompasses a diverse workload covering Security, Networking, Server Management, Virtual Environments, and evolving Cloud-based services.

*Answering the Service Desk Support phone calls and logging end-user queries if required.

*Ensuring desktop applications, workstations, and all related equipment problems are resolved.

*Identify issues and implement resolutions with customers in a timely manner via phone, email, and online access.

*Connect to customer computers prioritising and escalating issues to ensure minimal customer impact.

The Candidate

*Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2008, Windows Desktop 7, and Network Firewalls.

*Previously operated as an IT Support Engineer or equivalent.

*Strong Server Management and IT Support background.

*Microsoft Office skills (Including Excel).

*Hardware PC experience assembly including installing and configuring Microsoft Windows, basic networking, basic electronics, and troubleshooting.

*IT/Computer Science qualification - Desirable.

*A full UK driving license.

*Able to travel to customer sites when required.
