Head of IT / Stoke-On-Trent / Hybrid/ £60,000 - £65,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join my clients growing ICT Department based in Stoke-On-Trent.

The Head of IT is responsible for developing and directing the IT strategy and promoting its effective implementation across the College. The post will involve leadership of the IT department and taking a key role in the IT governance structure, driving high levels of service and successful change programmes.

Head of IT role and responsibilities:

* The ability to develop and communicate a clear IT strategy for the College in conjunction with senior leaders, Governors and IT users.

* A formal IT qualification to degree level or significant relevant experience

* Experience of working in an educational environment within a similar role

* Experienced in leading an IT support team.

* Experience of leading IT projects, initiatives, and strategies to successful conclusions

* Experience of interpreting legislation, policy and guidance to contribute to the formulation of policies and procedures that ensure compliance.

* Understanding of industry best practice for service management, project management and cybersecurity

* Ability to manage & monitor budgets.

The successfully Information Head of IT will have:

* Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures relating to IT management

* Clear and confident communication skills

* Ability to identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures.

* management skills including coaching, training, mentoring facilitating and influencing.

* Ability to lead a service

* Ability to manage & monitor budgets.

* Ability to undertake a varied work programme with conflicting priorities.

* Ability to motivate others technical knowledge.
