SC Cleared Senior Network Engineer

Duration: 6 Months

Malvern/Farnborough with travel to Hebrides and Plymouth

My client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join thir Team.

6 month contract (likely to extend to 12)

SC/DV Security Clearance

Cisco CCNP Certification or experience

Palo Alto experience is a bonus

Microsoft Server awareness

Low and High level documentation skillsJob Specification

1. To support VPN firewalls to be refreshed in advance of a full refresh for customer

2. Providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and technical management for network devices and infrastructure with a keen eye on the automation of network services.

3. Support a hardware refresh project, assisting in replacement of obsolete switch and firewall equipment

4. Provide advice and support for technical build activities for network infrastructure and devices

Help to support and deliver the VPN replacement for customer, establish if its appropriate to include an Anyconnect solution. Knowledge transfer of Palo Alto equipment to supporting Operations Engineer, produce detailed design documentation of new environment. Remove and replace obsolete equipment

Ability to scope network solution based on customer requirements, experience in interpreting designs . Extensive knowledge and capability to deliver network infrastructure based on design. Extensive knowledge of supporting Palo Alto and Cisco equipment. In addition, edge/branch Cisco devices, namely Cisco ISR (IOS) & ASR routers (XE) - knowledge of OSPF, HSRP, CoPP, VRF, VLANs, ACLs, STP, VTP and BGP routing protocol.

Preferred - CCNA/CCNP Certified
