Description:

We are looking for an experienced quantitative analyst to dig into financial and risk problems at the bank. If you enjoy combining programming skills and statistical methods with practical finance applications then we'd love to hear from you.

This role sits within the data team which is a key area of growth for the bank and supports a range of key models, some of which are regulatory. You will work closely with the wider data and technology teams at Starling to produce data-backed solutions to these problems.

Responsibilities:

Wrangling data from various sources internally to build analyses / models that provide insights into the financial working and performance of the bank

Ensuring model compliance with the latest regulatory changes

Communicating the impact of model changes to other teams

Producing clear visualisations of data for stakeholders internally

Requirements:

What we are looking for:

Experienced Python programmer

Used to structured code reviews in Git

Knowledgeable in SQL

Worked in finance / fintech sector

Highly organised, with the ability to deliver to manage conflicting priorities within a dynamic environment

Capable at communicating reasoning and insights behind data findings in a clear and concise manner to a range of audiences Nice to have:

Previous experience in Asset and Liability management topics such as behavioural modelling and/or deposit modelling

Previous experience with IRRBB

Experience in DBT and Looker
