Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of a team responsible for design and development of cross-platform analysis and compliance software applications for Tektronix oscilloscope products,

  • Design, implement and troubleshoot measurements/algorithms in C++ using appropriate DSP techniques for achieving the desired performance requirements as well as addressing customer problems
  • Design and develop next generation platform-agnostic User Interfaces and Plots using toolsets like C++ and Qt/QML framework complete with unit test coverage
  • Collaborate with design engineers on translating product requirements into software design and create software specification document.
  • Review the implementation work done by the peers and provide guidance as necessary.
  • Review test plans for each level of software verification, including unit tests, functional tests, integration tests, and system tests and aligns with software requirements
  • Responsible for managing all technical documentation required in the software development process
  • Effectively manage changes to requirements.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master and Product Planner to produce products that reliably meet customer and business requirements on time.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical engineering or a related discipline from a reputed Institute with 3-8 years of strong software development experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Hands-on object-oriented software design and development experience with a solid grasp of C++, data structures and design patterns.
  • Possess an innovative mindset, strong analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with signal analysis, coupled with experience in implementing algorithms in C++
  • Working experience with Qt library framework.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Agile product development processes such as scrum.
  • Experience in working with large code bases, writing entirely new code and maintain and update existing code.
  • Possess strong working knowledge on tools like GIT/Bitbucket and JIRA.
  • Experience working with geographically diverse teams.
  • Good understanding of memory management in a non-garbage collected environment.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS, STRONG PLUS:

  • Technical expertise in Digital Signal Processing: FIR + IIR filters Frequency Domain vs. Time Domain, Fourier transforms, FFT.
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience designing user interfaces with QML
  • Working knowledge on the Linux platform.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems design, low-level hardware interactions.
  • Knowledge of Test and Measurements industry.
