Our Opportunity
This exciting new opportunity is for an experienced Technical Software Consultant to join our Biometrics team, where from our Oldham office, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing excellent support to our customer base.
You’ll offer remote and field-based technical support across our network of retail, vending, gaming and amusement customers.
The ideal person for this role would be a committed and flexible individual, with an interest in software integration, troubleshooting and repairing electrical devices. We’re looking for a natural problem solver, a self-starter - someone with the proven ability to think on their feet in the office and out in the field, while representing our admired brand with pride.
As a Technical Software Consultant you will have the following responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers, advising where possible on mechanical, electronic and software issues, across our full product range with a specific focus on our Image Capture range.
Support the Sales Team in the early stages of new customer relationships, with technical advice, solutions, training and recommendations, delivering the same level of service as the wider Support team.
Leading on bespoke integration solutions
Liaise with the Development Team on product fault trends, new and recurring issues, supporting in the development of technical manuals and online support tools
Take ownership of customer facing documentation, producing manuals, training videos and presentations for our sales and support teams to utilise.
Updating external and internal documentation facing documentation, such as technical integration guidelines and API reference documentation. Additionally supporting in articulating responses to technical integration and product questions as part of procurement opportunities
Qualifications required to become our Techcnical Software Consultant:
Electronics, Software or related engineering degree is preferred
1 years + experience
Skills & Experience required to become our Techcnical Software Consultant:
Experience working with a rest interface
Some understanding of networking protocols would be advantageous
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, reports and discuss where necessary.
Able to demonstrate analytical and creative problem-solving skills, competent to learn about new and complex products and services quickly.
Proven team player, with a flexible and supportive approach.
Valid driver’s licence.
