Concept Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced 1st/2nd Line Engineer commutable to Bolton.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and be able to provide technical support for a variety of products and services with the main focus being Managed Networks and Security, VoIP and fixed connectivity supplied to the end client.

Shift Pattern Basis (must be willing to work a varying shift pattern including weekends/bank holidays)The Role
Remotely support and identify issues affecting customer systems and services
Perform 2nd line diagnosis with a view to resolution
Resolution of full range of technical support issues.
Effectively communicate with customers and within the company.
Provide proactive monitoring and management of services to all customers.
To be able to self-educate and attain industry standard IT accreditation's.
Contribute to highest levels of prospect and customer satisfaction.
Ensure that all company processes, procedures, and standards are always adhered to.
Willing to work in a varying shift pattern including weekends, bank holidays and Out Of Hours

A minimum of one year providing security solutions in a technical support role to a high technical level or have graduated in an IT related subject.
Be familiar with the primary functions of networking equipment, i.e. Routers, Switches, Firewalls and wide area communications.
Awareness of some of the following vendor products; Check Point, Juniper, Cisco, Extreme, Aruba, Polycom.
Strong knowledge of connectivity technologies (LAN/WAN/Wireless)
Experience in configuring and troubleshooting networking protocols.
Good understanding of practical application of VLANs, switching, and routing.
Sound knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
Achievements of IT industry recognised standard qualifications is advantageous.
Logical approach to fault-finding and commitment to see the job through working in ticketing system.
Ability to work as part of a team with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn new technologies using self-learning and dedicated training techniques.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
Flexible, tenacious, highly self-motivated, and committed to achieving goals.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, whilst remaining calm and focused on the activities needed to complete the job.
Operational experience of VoIP and PBX technologies in telecommunication environment is desirable.This contract has been deemed an inside IR35 role, therefore you will need to be paid via umbrella company. The above rates are the umbrella company rates subject to weekly fee and deductions.
