Principal Engineer

Remote/Hybrid in the Reading office

Up to £120,000

Austin Fraser has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer to work for one of the largest online brokers in the world, making trading accessible to everyone, no matter where you are.

This permanent opportunity is well suited to an individual who has a solid understanding of several coding languages and who can contribute more than just code. The role will be hands-on and strategic and you should come from a background in both backend and frontend development, some level of designing, and creating first-class code. The role:

Acting as a Senior member of the new UK centre of excellence

Acting as an individual contributor

Reporting into the VP of the team as well and the SMT of the company

Communicating the vision of the company to your team

The candidate:

10 years + of experience in either C++, JavaScript, PHP/Pearl, Python

Knowledge of Frontend frameworks such as React or Angular

Proven experience of some management (i.e. mentoring and leading a team)

Good communication skills

Coming from a financial background is highly desirable
