I am looking for a mechanical design engineer for a client our of based in Slough. You will work within a multi disciplined team on an exciting products range that is a bit different from the norm.

Main purpose of job:

The mechanical design and development of new and existing products as well as bespoke customer project delivery. This will include creating and vetting product specifications, detailed component and assembly design, creation of manufacturing data, testing, validation, and productionising.

Key responsibilities include:

Responsible for the technical delivery, working alone or as part of a team. Using Agile and Scrum methodologies independently, working flexibly when required.

Ensure that the technical standards are maintained by applying industry best practice throughout the product lifecycle. • Working with other disciplines as required such as the technical author and test team in development of test protocols for production.

Share innovative & creative ideas and new concepts to solve design challenges.

Candidate requirements

Must have a relevant engineering qualification, preferably a good degree, or suitable. experience, with excellent demonstrable technical knowledge.

A broad understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes.

Experience taking a design from initial brief to delivery of the final product.

Good verbal, written and presentation skills to all levels of the business and to customers.

Have an analytical, inquisitive hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

Be a self-starter with a can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to change.

Preferred:

Experience in a multi-disciplinary design, development, and production environment.

Experience working in an agile environment.
