Responsibilities:
Translating business and regulatory information requirements into SQL/DAX queries to derive commercially relevant insights
Designing report layouts, and playing a leading role in the deployment and maintenance of such reports
Responsible for applying change control practices
Lead and participate in data-related projects working both alone and as part of a team
Lead the liaison with end users across the organisation to ensure reporting and MI is fit for purpose
Provide practical training to small groups as required
Analysis of databases/datasets to produce queries and dashboards
Summarising data tends in a commercially focused and actionable way for audiences across the Society
Creating and improving, including data integrity, a mix of regular monthly reporting and ad-hoc reporting requests from the business
Influence teams to act on insights on findings by presenting data in a way to engage teams and key decision-makers
Experience:
3 - 5 years of previous experience of working within a similar role with experience of data and problem-solving within an operational environment
Strong skills in data visualisation and experience with multiple BI tools such as Power BI, Excel, Snowflake
Experience in delivering and improving MI for internal and external use to improve how a business consumes data
Experience in creating and maintaining a central reporting hub
Experience of working in a regulated environment preferably in financial services
Experience of data and problem-solving within an operational environment, including extracting trends and behaviours
Skills:
Adept at presenting complex information in an easy to digest format using a variety of tools
Proactive with the confidence to challenge the status quo and identify business process improvements
Strong interpersonal and teamworking capabilities with excellent communication skills and a 'can do' attitude
Creative and innovative thinker.
Be able to work to deadlines, whilst being precise and detail orientated.
