Junior .NET / C# Developer 

Location: Prescot Merseyside

Flexible 4 day working week, remotely - Option to go into Northwest based office once a month or once every 6 weeks

The Role Purpose

To design new, develop existing, and maintain all integration's between business systems and 3rd party SaaS solutions

To support the transition from traditional SQL based on premise integration services to Cloud Based Integration Platform Strategy

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To support in house integration development between business systems and 3rd party cloud based SaaS solutions

• Help design, understand, and interpret integration specifications from functional system requirements

• Create and maintain integration procedures between internal systems utilising each system's built-in API set

• Design, develop, create, and maintain integration procedures with third parties SaaS solutions

• Undertake testing and accuracy checking

• To lead the transition from SQL based on premise integration's into a modern integration strategy using EiPaaS

• To work alongside the data and business intelligence teams to modernise data reporting architecture

• Create and maintain documentation for processes and procedures including troubleshooting guidance

• 2nd / 3rd line support for BAU Integration's resolving errors / issues in a timely manner

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• Degree is desirable, preferably in a relevant subject such as Computer Science / Software Engineering, or post-education qualification such as advanced apprenticeship

• Evidence of continuing professional development is desirable

Experience / Knowledge

Essential:

• SQL and TSQL (queries, stored procedures, triggers)

• Proven development experience using SSIS

• Knowledge of MS SQL and/or MySQL Management

• Proven development experience using tools such as Microsoft .NET, C#

• SOAP and WSDL

• RESTful API

• Understand textual data interchange: XML / JSON

• Developing integration components

• Working in a business-focused business-systems support service

• Proven experience of working with, and good understanding of, business systems (such as Finance, HR, Payroll, Case Management)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Documentation creation and Change Management

Desirable:

• Hands-on experience in developing Azure Integration Services (AIS) including Logic Apps, Logic app Connectors, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Power Automate (Microsoft Flow)

• Knowledge of Hybrid Integration using the Azure Platform

• Knowledge of Enterprise Integration Platform such as Boomi

• Business systems experience with the Unit4 Business World/Agresso ERP system

• IT Service Desk system usage & understanding

• Exposure to Microsoft PowerBi (or similar Bi tools)

• Experience working within the Health and Social Care Sector

• Experience of working from home and blended home/office working

Skills / Abilities:

• Problem investigation & resolution

• Working to deadlines and prioritising work loads

• Personable & able to build effective and productive working relationships

• Enthusiastic and motivated, with a keen interest in IT Team and Departmental activity

• Good customer service focus, listening and responding to customer issues & setting and managing customer expectations

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Ability to work independently, to use own initiative and to take responsibility

• Aware of own capability

• Good verbal and written skills – able to communicate effectively in a variety of situations

• Completer/finisher – focus on managing tasks through to completion

• Full driving licence is desirable
